Kalliste Knit Crop Top

Comfy and elegant flowy crop top. Knit in stockinette, on a knitting machine, or by hand.
Named for the Kalliste, a Greek Haliad nymph of the island of Calliste in the Aegean sea.

S (24-30 waist, 32-38 hip, 5’2 to 5’8 height)
XXS-XS can be made by decreasing the length of the elastics to your measurements and decreasing your stitches by the inches in the gauge
L-XXL can be made by increasing the length of the elastics to your measurements and decreasing your stitches by the inches in the gauge
Gauge: 5 stitches by 5 rows

Materials:
4-9 skeins #1 Lace weight yarn
LK 150 or standard gauge knitting machine
OR
6.5mm circular knitting needles

Soft measuring tape

SC - Single Crochet
DC - Double Crochet

The Top
Row 1-80: cast on 110, knit in stockinette
72 rows for XXS-XS,104 stitches
80 rows for S, 110 stitches
88 rows for M-L, 116 stitches
96 rows for L-XL, 122 stitches
104 rows for XL-XXL, 128 stitches
*repeat for two panels*
Shoulder Seams

Turn the right sides together

Sew or slip stitch crochet the sides of the shoulder together for 16 stitches each side, (i chose slip stitch or single crochet)

Repeat on the other side

Weave in your ends
30 st for XXS-XS
32 st for S
34 st for M-L
36 st for L-XL
38 st for XL-XXL
Side Body Seams

Turn the right sides together
-
Connect the bottom corners, sew the sides of the waist together, Repeat on the other side

Weave in your ends
Optional Picot lace edging

Ch 3, slip stitch into the same stitch, slip stitch 2

Repeat until finished

Cut a 4-inch tail

Thread in all your ends with a tapestry needle
